The Southern Taurid meteor shower will peak overnight on November 4 and November 5, providing stargazers a spectacle as Earth passes through a dense trail of debris from comet 2P/Encke. It can be viewed best after midnight, roughly 40° above the constellation Taurus. Observers may see a handful of bright fireballs per hour if conditions are ideal.
