RBI has announced the final redemption of Sovereign Gold Bonds under the 2017-18 Series-V, issued on October 30, 2017. The redemption has been permitted today, and the price has been fixed at ₹11,992 per unit, which is a 303.63% gain over the issue price of ₹2,971, News18 reported. This doesn't include 2.5% annual interest income earned during the holding period.
