The Samajwadi Party expelled Pappu Chauhan for being involved in "anti-party activities". Notably, this comes after an FIR was filed against Pappu for vandalising a tomb in Fatehpur. Pappu was allegedly part of the mob which vandalised the tomb, claiming it to be a Hindu temple site and demanding permission to offer prayers.
