Sambhal Samajwadi Party MP, Ziaur Rehman Barq deposited ₹6 lakh with the electricity department on Tuesday for restoration of power at his home after he was accused of electricity theft. Uttar Pradesh Power Department had earlier imposed a fine of ₹1.91 crore on Barq. Later, the Allahabad High Court had asked Barq to deposit ₹6 lakh for restoration of electricity.
