Spain's government has planned to enshrine the right to abortion in the constitution, marking 40 years since its decriminalisation. If the proposal is passed in the parliament, Spain would become the second country after France to constitutionally protect abortion rights. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has termed the measure a fight against global attacks on reproductive freedoms.
