Spouses often share psychiatric disorders: Study

A study of 14.8 million people across Taiwan, Denmark and Sweden found that spouses often have same psychiatric conditions. The likelihood increased with each decade, particularly for those with substance use disorders. This could be due to choosing partner based on similar experiences, shared environments and social stigma of having psychiatric disorder which narrows a person's choice of spouse.
