Sri Lanka Navy arrested 12 Indian fishermen and seized their boat for allegedly poaching in its territorial waters. The fishermen were escorted to Kankesanthurai Harbour and will be handed over to Mailadi Fisheries Inspector for further action. Earlier too, Indian fishermen were arrested, following which Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin wrote to External Affairs Minister Jaishankar to secure their release.
