One of Australia's largest banks ANZ has apologised after its employees learned they were being fired when they received automated emails asking them to hand over their laptops. The bank also offered counselling to the affected employees and said the emails were sent ahead of schedule due to an error. ANZ Group's CEO Nuno Matos called the incident "indefensible".
