Ex-AIADMK minister and Rajya Sabha MP CV Shanmugam sparked a row after comparing women to government freebies at an event. Referring to Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, Shanmugam said, "Many announcements will come for the elections. They will provide mixers, grinders, goats, cows for free...they might even give a wife for free to each person."
