A stampede-like situation broke out in a section of heavily crowded space during TVK leader Vijay's rally in Karur, Tamil Nadu. A number of people who fainted at the rally are feared dead. During the chaos, a nine-year-old girl was reported missing, compelling Vijay to appeal publicly for assistance from the police. The affected people were rushed to the hospital.
