Vishal Mehta, co-founder of unWOOD collaborated with Babu Padmanabhan to turn plastic waste into wood-like material. The startup has collaborated with non-governmental organisations to provide schools with sustainable benches made from recycled plastic for children to sit on. Notably, Every kilo of unWOOD reuses 500g of waste plastic and cuts down one and a half kilogram of carbon emissions.
