Communal clashes erupted during Lord Ganesh idol immersion on Sunday in Maddur town in Karnataka's Mandya district. The incident took place after stone pelting at the procession allegedly by miscreants from another community, leading to widespread unrest, PTI reported. Eight people were injured in the clashes and are being treated at the Maddur town hospital, according to reports.
