A group of people allegedly assaulted a 25-year-old engineering student identified as Nehan Ali Khan after he entered a dandiya event at a hotel in Hyderabad on September 29. Khan alleged that he was attacked after he revealed his name to them. Hindu organisations had asked organisers not to allow people from other communities into dandiya events.
