A student, Avinash Kumar, rescued an abandoned dog that was tied to a pole in flood-hit UP's Prayagraj, The Better India reported. Avinash heard the dog's whispers while locking his door and saw it shivering and soaked in water. He later found a basket, waded through flood, gently untied the dog, and placed it inside to carry it to safety.
