As per reports, Congress has decided to revive college campus elections in Karnataka for the first time since they were banned in 1989–90, following campus violence. Party’s high command has reportedly instructed state government led by CM Siddaramaiah to reintroduce polls beginning with government institutions, in order to rebuild youth engagement and counter influence from ABVP and left groups.
