A widely cited study claiming apple cider vinegar aids weight loss has been retracted by BMJ. It stated that daily small doses of it, diluted in water, could help people lose weight. However, an independent review found the results of earlier experiment couldn't be replicated and had statistical inconsistencies, dataset irregularities, poor methodology reporting, and no prior trial registration.
