A new study published in Nature Medicine shows a simple blood test may help detect early signs of leukaemia, reducing reliance on painful bone marrow biopsies. Led by Israeli and US researchers, the test identifies disease markers in rare blood stem cells. It may also detect age-related blood disorders. Clinical trials are underway globally.
