Study of fossil teeth shows Earth was hotter in dinosaur age

By examining oxygen isotopes found in fossilised dinosaur teeth, researchers reconstructed Earth's climate from 150 million years ago. They discovered that atmospheric CO₂ levels during the Late Jurassic were roughly four times higher than preindustrial levels by measuring all three oxygen isotopes. Oxygen signatures found in the preserved enamel indicated the period's hotter atmosphere.
