Amid the inheritance dispute, late billionaire Sunjay Kapur's sister Mandira claimed Priya contributed to breakdown of his marriage to Karisma Kapoor. Noting that Sunjay and Karisma were in a "good place", Mandira said, "For another woman to not care about...woman who's just had a child is in bad taste...You don’t break up a happy marriage, or...one that's trying to work."
