The Supreme Court has allowed the appeals of the Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) in which the scope and ambit of interference with an arbitral award under Sections 34 and 37 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (A&C Act) arose for consideration. It reiterated that rewriting contract for parties would be breach of fundamental principles of justice.
