Supreme Court granted interim bail till 31st March, to self-styled godman and rape convict Asaram Bapu. The bail order restricted Asaram from meeting his followers upon release. The 83-year-old, who's been granted bail on medical grounds, was found guilty of raping his female disciple multiple times at his Ahmedabad Ashram. He was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment in 2023.
