India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav wasn't in favour of Shubman Gill's inclusion in squad for Asia Cup 2025, according to a report. Suryakumar had expressed strong reservations about Gill’s place in India's current T20I setup and even refrained from recommending him as vice-captain, the report added. However, head coach Gautam Gambhir and selectors backed Gill's inclusion, the report stated.
