Maharashtra Police informed that the "suspicious" Pakistani boat spotted off the coast in Raigad district, 2.5 to 3 nautical miles in the Arabian Sea, is likely a fishing net buoy fitted with a GPS tracker. The Indian Coast Guard reported that the object used to prevent nets from sinking likely drifted into Indian waters due to the sea currents.
