Suzuki Motor has suspended the production of its flagship Swift subcompact due to China's restrictions on rare earth elements, Reuters reported citing sources. With this, Suzuki Motor has become the first Japanese automaker to be affected by the export curbs. Global automakers recently warned of potential production halts in case they are unable to secure China's critical minerals.
