Turkish authorities said on Sunday they arrested a Swedish journalist on charges of terrorism and insulting President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Joakim Medin, who was set to cover ongoing street protests, was detained on arrival at Istanbul airport on Thursday. He is accused of taking part in a protest in Stockholm in 2023 where a mannequin resembling President Erdogan was displayed.
