Suzuki Motor has halted production of its popular Swift model, excluding the Sport version, due to component shortages caused by China's rare earth export restrictions. Production, suspended since May 26, is expected to partially resume on June 13 and fully after June 16. This marks the first known case of a Japanese automaker hit by critical materials curbs in China.
