Taiwan's government has added China's Huawei Technologies and Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) to its export control list. This inclusion means Taiwanese firms will need government approval before exporting any products to these companies. The companies were included in an updated version of the economy ministry's trade administration website late on Saturday.
