Amid escalating Israel-Hezbollah tensions, Lebanon's caretaker PM Najib Mikati called on the UN Security Council on Thursday to take a "firm stance" against Israel. His remarks came after the pager and walkie talkie explosions in Lebanon and he urged the UNSC to end this "technological war". At least 37 people were killed and nearly 3,000 others injured in the attacks.
