Actress-politician Khushbu Sundar was appointed as one of the Vice Presidents of the BJP in Tamil Nadu. She thanked the party's senior leadership, including PM Narendra Modi and BJP State President Nainar Nagenthiran, for placing their trust in her. She also appealed to actor and TVK chief Vijay to join hands with the BJP-AIADMK alliance to defeat the DMK.
