EU officials are preparing to confront the US over plans to expand the list of European products facing elevated steel and aluminium tariffs, which they say conflicts with the trade deal agreed in August. Trade chief Maros Sefcovic and ministers will raise the issue with US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick on November 24. EU ambassadors discussed the move last week.
