American consumers and retailers face $40.6 billion in extra costs this holiday season due to Trump-era tariffs, a LendingTree study found. Shoppers will absorb about $28.6 billion, or roughly $132 each, while retailers are set to bear $12 billion. Clothing, beauty items, and toys will see the sharpest price jumps.
