India has received the last of 16 Airbus C-295 transport aircraft from Spain, ahead of schedule. The remaining 40 will be manufactured by Tata Advanced Systems Ltd in Vadodara. This marks a major step in Indian Air Forces fleet modernization, replacing ageing Avro aircraft and setting up India's first private military aircraft assembly line.
