Nifty Metal index jumped 3%, extending gains for a third session as Tata Steel (+6%), Jindal Steel (+5.3%) and SAIL (+5.1%) led the rally. Optimism was fuelled by a weaker dollar, possible GST cuts to boost real estate demand, and China's expected steel output cuts. Stocktwits sentiment turned bullish after a 5.6% 3-day gain.
