Author Sudha Murty said her grandmother had asked her to teach alphabets of Kannada language when she was 12. Sudha stated her grandmother learnt it in three months and touched her feet after it. "I was shocked," she stated. Sudha added her grandmother told her that whoever taught her even a single word, that person is her teacher.
