Police on Monday detained a government school teacher for allegedly trying to bribe Rajasthan’s Education Minister Madan Dilawar during a public hearing at the latter's Jaipur residence. Chandrakant Vaishnav, the teacher, offered ₹5,000 and a box of sweets to get a recommendation for appointment as a writer in a textbook committee. Vaishnav is now being questioned by the Jaipur Police.
