The BCCI has extended the contract of the chairman of selection committee Ajit Agarkar till June 2026. In his tenure, which began in June 2023, India ended a drought of ICC tournaments, winning the T20 World Cup in 2024 and the Champions Trophy earlier this year. According to The Indian Express, the contract was extended before IPL 2025.
