An Indian techie claimed he received a ₹5-lakh demand notice from a company after he quit on his first day. "I assumed that since I hadn't accepted any salary...the matter was closed...I was shocked to receive [the notice], citing breach of contract or bond," the techie said. "You need to pay...recovery amount for unserved notice period," the notice allegedly said.
