A former engineer at Oracle, who quit his job to sell pani puri, was arrested after his wife, 27-year-old Shilpa Panchangamath, was found dead in Bengaluru. Shilpa was a techie too, and her family, who said they spent ₹35 lakh in the wedding, alleged the in-laws harassed her for dowry. "Recently, we paid another ₹10 lakh," Shilpa's uncle alleged.
