Hemesh Chadalavada, a 17-year-old boy, built a device named 'Alpha Monitor', a small wearable device, that alerts caregivers if Alzheimer's patient falls or wanders off. The device uses LoRa technology, working up to 5 kilometres away, even in remote areas. Hemesh created the device after one day his grandmother, an Alzheimer's patient, walked outside thinking she was on a train.
