A 19-year-old girl, Ishita Mallik, was fatally shot inside her home in Krishnagar, West Bengal, on Monday afternoon. The attack happened near Krishnagar Women’s College, in a high-security area close to the District Magistrate’s residence. Ishita was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. The brutal killing has left the community in shock.
