Deputy Ambassador of Iran to India, Mohammad Javad Hosseini, on the safety of Indian and other foreign nationals in war-hit Iran, said, "We are capable of defending...our people, including foreign nationals." He added that Tehran is cooperating with the Indian Embassy to ensure the safe evacuation of Indian nationals as per the programme defined by the Indian Embassy in Tehran.
