Teja Sajja's Mirai opened to an impressive response at the box office, collecting ₹12 crore in India on the first day (September 12). While the Hindi belt numbers are modest, the Telugu market emerged as the film's stronghold with 68.59 per cent occupancy. These figures beat Sajja's previous film Hanu-Man, which had earned ₹8.05 crore on first day.
