The Telangana government is accused of misusing voter data, including photos from electoral rolls, for facial recognition. Cyber expert Srinivas Kodali alleged in a letter to the state Chief Electoral Officer, that the government developed the RTDAI system using this data, originally shared by the Election Commission for a pilot project, but later used it for other purposes.
