External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, while responding to a question on alliances, asked the questioner to imagine a situation where India wasn't adopting strategic autonomy. "Please tell me which country you'd like to join...and put your future in their hands. I can't think of anybody," he said. India's interest is best secured in maintaining its freedom of choice, he added.
