Tesla shares tumbled after US President Donald Trump targeted Elon Musk's reliance on government support and urged the administration to look into cutting subsidies for the billionaire's companies. Tesla stock plunged between 5.5% and 7% in early trading on Tuesday. "Without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa," Trump had stated.
