Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday praised Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and NCP(SP) leader Supriya Sule for "defending" India on "foreign soil". "They all stood for India...but the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, did not...he has betrayed the nation," Sarma said. All three were part of India's Operation Sindoor delegations.
