Reacting to Shashi Tharoor criticising Emergency and calling it a "dark chapter", Congress leader K Muraleedharan said Tharoor can choose a political path of his liking if he feels "suffocated" in the current situation. "On matters where he has differing opinions, he can express them within the party framework," Muraleedharan stated. Tharoor had also criticised ex-PM Indira Gandhi.
