Director and co-producer Aanand L Rai has slammed Eros International for re-releasing his film 'Raanjhanaa' with an "AI-generated happy ending", saying, "They are butchering the film." To be released on August 1, the edit features Kundan surviving, unlike the original. "It's a tragedy, that's an emotion...How can you meddle with emotions?" Rai said, adding he wasn't consulted about the change.
