Former Australian all-rounder Brendon Julian asked the Australian selectors to promote Singapore-born late-order batter Tim David to the middle order ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026 in Sri Lanka and India. The reasoning behind it was the 37-ball century he scored against the West indies in July 2025.
