A top UN official warned that time is running out to prevent famine from spreading in Gaza. UN aid chief Tom Fletcher said there's a narrow window until the end of September to stop famine reaching Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis. Meanwhile, Israeli forces, after launching an assault last month, are now just kilometres from central Gaza City.
